From Santa

Hooves of Fire - Robbie the Reindeer

Hooves of Fire is a half-hour Christmas animation that went down so well in the UK it spawned two sequels (so far) and was re-voiced for the US by Ben Stiler, Britney Spears and other such household names.

First part is here - I'm sure you can find the rest of you want.

Happy holiday's people

Grieg's piano concerto

This one fits squarely in the classics catergory. Eric and Ernie are one of the most succesful comedy duos in Britcom history, sadly no longer with us. It became fashionable for stars (Elton John etc.) to come on the show even though they knew they would be made fun of. This one features the principle conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra, Andre Previn. Takes a few minutes to get going but stick with it...

Two from Spike

Spike Milligan. Many, many comedians list Spike as an inspiration. He did radio before there was TV and TV before it went color. he wrote childrens poetry and dozens of books. He introdiced the world at large to Peter Sellers. A genuine genius of off-the-wall humor. There's not much of Spike's stuff available but here's a couple of snippets, for some reason both involving the Mona Lisa.

Herding Cats

In my marketing class we actually decided this was a bad ad...I remember it for making me laugh, not for the company it wanted to promote.

Life Has Been Good to Me.

This one is admittedly a rule breaker. I did not laugh but it has always put a smile on my face. With my fancy VCR I used to watch it over and over again in 3D. It was part of a sweeps thing for the the TV show 3rd Rock from the Sun.
